Universal Rod End Misalignment Inserts For 5/16 Rod Ends Straight Style Yields 1/4 Bore Plated Steel 10 Pack
Quantity Per Package: This package includes 10 bushings (enough for five spherical rod ends). This item does not include the spherical rod end.
Product Name: High Misalignment Insert Bushing
Fits Rod End Bore Size of: 5/16"
Bore Size of Insert: 1/4"
Material: Steel
Finish: Plated Zinc Clear (Silver)
Length of Bushing After Installation: Each bushing adds 0.334" of width to the rod end, or 0.668" overall (because two bushings are required per rod end).
Diameter of Flare: 0.470"
Common Other Names for this Product: heim joint bushings, tapered rod end spacers, rod end inserts.
Application: High Misalignment Bushings are used to increase the misalignment angle of a spherical rod end bearing. Two High Misalignment Bushings are required for each spherical rod end bearing. The high misalignment inserts are a simple slip fit. These bushings provide for more clearance so the bolt head does not minimize the natural cone angle of the spherical rod end bearing.
Typical Mating Part: These bushings are commonly used in conjunction with our MXM-5 chrome moly spherical rod end bearing, and our STM-5 stainless steel teflon race spherical rod end bearing. They can also be used with some spherical plain bearings, and most 5/16" bore i.d. spherical rod ends - male or female.
Metric Alternative: The metric equivalent to this series is our HMBZC-M series.
