The Steinjäger internal tire carrier is designed to hold up to a 35" tire inside the cab of your Jeep while still leaving you storage room for tools and a cooler. It simply mounts to the factory roll bar with four clamps. Steinjäger has designed and manufactured a polyurethane centering device that will center the wheel and hold it securely while off-roading. The angle of the tire makes it simple to lift the tire into the back of your Jeep and lay if down on the tire carrier. The "baja" style wing nut also means you don't have to maneuver a 70+ lb wheel around while trying to line up the lug studs.
Rear Seat will need to be removed.
Roll bar padding will need to be modified or removed for proper function.
Not recommended to use with steel wheels. You will not be able to tighten the wheel down to the main body.
CAUTION REGARDING PAINT COLOR: This product is painted with our Pinky powder paint. Given the nature of this particular color and our powder painting process, there may be slight imperfections in areas around welds, at 'hanging' points from our powder paint system, variations in the color itself in areas with a dramatic change in materials (ie: from tube to large plate transition areas), and/or a loss of brightness after a season in direct sunlight. We add a second coat of 'clear coat' to help extend the life of the vividness of the color, but it still is subject to fading. When considering this color, please keep these nuances of this color in mind.
